Best so Far!

Our match against Panorama PS turned out to be the best match our boys have played thus far. We were unfortunate to end up on the losing end - BUT - this game was only won in the final over of the day. With a bit more good fortune we could have easily walked away with a victory.
Our boys batted first and in 20overs rattled up 116-8.
After the opposition got off to a flying start by scoring 50runs in 6overs, we pegged them back to take the game to the wire. Well done lads - this is what playing for Gene Louw PS 1sts is all about. Let us build it up from here!

Challenging!

Suddenly the 1st team's fixture list looks more like the one we initially were hoping for - pity it has taken a long roundabout to test ourselves against the best. There is definately more to be learned from playing strong sides than scoring freely against weaker opposition.
Always look at the long term plan guys - in this case to prepare yourselves for the Knysna tournament, which I hear is a lot of fun - and - extremely rewarding. So hang in there and just play to the best of you ability while not losing sight of the enjoyment factor. Have FUN!
